Q: How should HoofLox Super Glue be stored before use?

A: Optimal Storage Temperatures: 35 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, or 2 C to 10 Celsius. Most refrigerators are 35 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure to store in a cooler/ice while in your farrier truck, trailer, or car. Extreme heat and cold are the enemy of adhesives.

Q: Does temperature affect set times for HoofLox Super Glue?

A: Optimal working temperature is 64 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit or 18 to 25 Celsius.

Cold temperatures will slow the set times.

Q: After use, can the product be capped and stored for future use?

A: Yes, apply the cap and store at optimal storage temperatures (35 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, or 2 C to 10 Celsius)

Q: Should protective gloves be used when applying adhesives?

A: Yes, protective gloves keep the oils in your hands from contaminating a prepped hoof and clean shoes. Protective gloves also keep adhesives off your hands and lessen clean up.

Q: How long does it take for HoofLox Super Glue to cure when using HoofLox Super Glue Activator?

A: It will cure immediately when the HoofLox Super Glue and HoofLox Super Glue Activator contact each other.

Q: When do you use HoofLox Super Glue?

A: Temporarily setting a shoe in place. Use the HoofLox Super Glue on the weight-bearing surface of the hoof, spray the HoofLox Super Glue Activator on the shoe. When the shoe is pressed on the hoof, it is locked in place immediately.

You can also use HoofLox Super Glue as a top coat when you are done gluing. This gives a shiny finish, further seals the tabs, and protects the hoof from changes in environment (wet to dry fluctuations). HoofLox Super Glue Activator will immediately set the Super Glue and horse can be turned out immediately.

Q: What shoes can be glued using HoofLox Super Glue?

A: The EasyShoe Versa Grip Octo, EasyShoe 3D, and any of the Finger Tab or Sticky Finger Tab shoes will work with HoofLox Super Glue. The EasyShoe One Mushroom Cuff also allows you to glue with Super Glue.
